Hey blog, I just finished my first video editing!!! There were definitely some problems I had to overcome in the process, but I think that the finished product is worth it!
First, I had to learn all about the software and watch a bunch of videos explaining the software app Premiere Pro, fun... But really creating the project would be arduous without the explanation given by the videos.
Creating the project mainly consisted on finding the clips that I wanted and formatting them to make my video appealing. I chose different clips showcasing interviews, scenery and of course the star of the show, Pineapple whip. I then added some background music to tie it all together.
Along the way, I faced some challenges such as finding clips that I wanted to use and narrowing it down to get the frames that I was going to use. This process probably took the longest time to edit, and I found myself stressing a little. After finding a few good clips I combined everything and got my film.
I learned that i need to organize all of the sources that I want to use and separate it from the stuff that i'm not going to use.
Next time we work on a video editing activity, I will be prepared and more organized throughout the process.
Learning these techniques and using Premier Pro will definitely help with my portfolio project if I decided to do the short film. I now have a trusted software that I know how to use to help me make the best video that I can!
